Makeup bandit

This morning Kate was in the bathroom while Chris was getting ready for Church. She opened my cabinet and got out some of my makeup. The following is what happened:

Chris: Put that back please, Kate
Kate: Takes off running into our closet
Chris: Follows Kate
Kate: Just before getting caught, drops the paraphernalia

So, what was she thinking? If I drop the makeup, I won't get caught? She's been watching too many episodes of COPS.
