Mall park with friends
Friday we went to the mall park with some friends. We had a great time and we were super exhausted when we got home!

We were eating dinner the other night and Chase looked so interested in our food. So, we thought we'd try some rice cereal.... It didn't go over so well as you can see. We'll try again in a week. :)Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Catching up
It has been so long since I've posted anything I don't even know where to start. What have we been up to since June 5th? Hmmm....We've had an anniversary (5 years! Can you believe it?), we celebrated Father's Day, Kate had her first haircut, Chris did two triathlons, Kate learned about 100 new words and now talks in sentences, Chase can roll over, we've played at that lake, had a visit from Stacey, celebrated the 4th of July, played in a lot of water, ate a lot of ice cream and just tried to stay cool. Whew...now that I've said all that. I'll just post a few pictures and promise to keep you updated a little better from now on.
Chase is such a happy baby. We just love his little dimples and smiles. He just had his 4 month checkup. 16lbs, 8oz and 26 1/4 inches long! He's grown a ton!
Kate is so much fun...minus the tantrums that have pretty much become routine. :) She's so smart and loves to play in the water.
Entertaining herself after Daddy's triathlon. I should have put a picture of Chris on here...oh well.
Chase just chillin out. He's so handsome!
Well, now here's a picture of the men in my life. Gotta love them!
Kate and Chase get along pretty well. Chase adores Kate and Kate loves to hold Chase. There's only a few moments of sibling rivalry between them...mostly when Kate decides it's time to hit or bite. I keep telling Chase, "someday you'll actually do something to deserve this." :)
Oh, he's just so stinkin cute!!
Speaking of cute...this is what Chris and I wake up to every day. For some reason she always comes to my side of the bed. Never mind Daddy over there that has to get up in five minutes anyway (she usually comes in around 6:50 and Chris wakes up at 7), I think I'll wake up my mommy. It's pretty hard to stay mad at such a cute smile. Except for days like today when she throws herself on the floor screaming because I won't get out of bed. (Hey, you would stay in bed too if you had been woken up as much as I was last night by a hungry little boy!)
So you're probably thinking, "what's with the random picture of a comb and some hair doing on this post?" Well, this is the remnants of Kate's haircut. I couldn't take "during" pictures because I was the only one home at the time so this is the after shot.
Well, now didn't I do a good job?? :) Not that you can tell whether it's good or not. There's too many wild curls! I really think her hair got curlier after I cut it. So cute.
And finally a lake shot. We are doing a triathalon at the end of September so we go swimming at the lake every Monday evening with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma watches the kids while we go swimming with Grandpa. Kate LOVES the water.
